The migrants uprising

The migrants uprising

They said "no." No, they won’t return back. Repulsed to the Franco-Italian border, over an hundred of migrants from sub-Saharan Africa and from the Middle East decided on Thursday, June 11, 2015 to move no more. They began a real "sit-in" which the Italian police will end 48 hours later, driving the majority of them towards the center of Ventimiglia. At this moment an handful managed to take refuge on the stones of the sea. After a difficult night in a tense climate, a storm of unusual violence awakens them from the dawn. Protected by their thin blanket, they will not leave their rocks, resuming from their last heady slogans: " We are not going back / Where are the human rights ?" The beginning of a showdown that will last more than two months. Italy and France engaged in a war of words as a standoff over hundreds of Africans offered a graphic illustration of Europe's migration crisis.

We are not going back / Where's the human rights ?
